All Aboard!

Share the adventure with us July 14, 2024, as we trace the historic Central Pacific Route over the Sierras on heritage passenger equipment pulled by Union Pacific’s steam locomotive “Big Boy,” No. 4014. This trip takes us back to the original route of the transcontinental railroad as we travel along the route built by thousands of Chinese railroad employees for the Central Pacific in what was arguably the toughest three years of construction on the entire transcontinental railroad! This special train will trace the route from Roseville California to Sparks, Nevada, through the solid granite of infamous Donner Summit.
