Classic Dome Coach Experience

The Challenger

Ticket includes passes to the California State Railroad Museum, private dinner reception, and the train ride in a vintage dome coach car, The Challenger. Light refreshments & beverage service will be offered throughout the trip. Lunch will be served in your seat on the train.

Deluxe individual boxed meals will be served on the return bus trip to Sacramento.
Classic Dome - $1500
​Take in the 360 degree view from your seats in the upper level of the railcar.
Classic Coach - $800
Sit back, relax and watch the scenery through large picturesque windows in the lower level of the vintage railcar.

Premium Dome Diner Experience

The Colorado Eagle

Ticket includes passes to the California State Railroad Museum, private dinner reception, and the train ride in a vintage dome diner, The Colorado Eagle. Light refreshments & beverage service will be offered throughout the trip. Passengers in the dome will be served a plated lunch. Passengers in the rest of the car will enjoy a boxed lunch at their table.​

Deluxe individual boxed meals will be served on the return bus trip to Sacramento.
Premium Dome - $2000
​Get the scenic view from the glass penthouse of the upper level of the railcar.  These seats are at tables.
Premium Diner - $1000
Enjoy the view while engaging with members of your party or new friends at table seating in the dining area of the railcar.

The Union Pacific Experience Car 

The Promontory

Ticket holders will also be able to visit and tour the Union Pacific Experience car display in the Promontory. The Experience is a multi-media walkthrough exhibition that provides a glimpse at the past while telling the story of modern-day railroading.
